Richard founded NAI Puget Sound Properties in 1995 after leaving Kidder, Mathews & Segner (currently GVA Kidder Mathews) where he began his career in 1978 and eventually became its youngest Principal and top producing agent. Richard's vision was to create a firm with similar professionals who shared in his commitment to providing excellent service to their clients and operating with the highest ethical principles.

Customers benefit from Richard's commercial real estate services in the areas of acquisition, sales and leasing, tenant representation and new development consulting. This well rounded background provides complete understanding of all sides of any transaction. Richard is well known his creativity and ability to tackle difficult and complicated transactions.

Richard has completed over 170 building sales for over 6 million square feet ranging in value up to $47 million. He has completed over 25 build-to-suit transactions totaling over 2 million square feet and has sold over 450 acres of land in approximately 40 transactions. He has completed hundreds of industrial and office lease transactions in excess of 5 million square feet and has represented corporate clients on a global basis.

Richard was awarded SIOR's Industrial Broker of the Year for the State of Washington in 1989 and has been a finalist on several other occasions. He held the designation of SIOR for over 20 years. Currently he serves on the Board of Directors for the Commercial Brokers Association.
